Val d'Isère is the perfect destination for ski lovers. This beautiful resort perfectly combines sport and relaxation, for young and old alike.

Located on the Vanoise massif in Savoie, Val d'Isère is one of the pioneers in terms of winter sports. The resort began to flourish in the 1930s and has since become a must-visit. Its ski area makes it very popular with ski enthusiasts.

Ski area focus

The Espace Killy is the ski area that links Tignes and Val d'Isère. It is named after the French Olympic champion Jean-Claude Killy. With almost 300 kilometres of pistes, the ski area is renowned for its challenging skiing. The 154 runs will satisfy the most experienced skiers and allow beginners to learn at their own pace. Val d'Isère has had a special relationship with high-level sport ever since its creation. It has seen many top athletes ski but has also hosted international competitions such as the men's alpine skiing event at the 1992 Alberville Olympics and the 2009 World Alpine Ski Championships.

The Espace Killy also includes two snow parks (one in Tignes, the other in Val d'Isère), allowing freestyle enthusiasts to experience both. There are 44 kilometres of trails for cross-country skiers, each with its own beautiful scenery. Other activities include snowshoeing, ice skating, mountain biking on the snow and the Moonbike, a 100% electric snowmobile.

Val Kids will give the little ones a gentle start on the skis. This mini-area includes a playground, a play trail, a toboggan run and a boardercross course. This area is perfect for learning and fun with organised activities for children.

Thanks to Millet Expert Sport, partner store of GO Sport Montagne present in Val d'Isère, you can take advantage of the best equipment on the market to spend unforgettable holidays with family or friends in the heart of the Savoyard resort.

Off-ski activities

Once off the slopes, Val d'Isère is a charming and lively resort with many activities. For those who want to get rid of their aches and pains and relax, the resort offers a spa or wellness area. Yoga classes are also available, as is access to an aqua-sports centre. If you want to go out with your family or friends, Val d'Isère has a cinema and a bowling alley.

The resort has a number of bars and restaurants. The choice of food on offer is quite substantial and fans of Savoyard gastronomy will be delighted to find their favourite dishes.

La Folie Douce was born in Val d'Isère. This refuge, transformed into a "day club", allows holidaymakers to take a break on the slopes to eat, drink and dance in front of DJs who come to mix in the open air. Clubs will be happy to welcome those who want to go out until the end of the night.

Val d'Isère is the perfect resort, the balance between intense and exhilarating skiing sessions and relaxing if not exhilarating evenings. This resort is the ideal destination for families and friends and with GO Sport Montagne you can enjoy the snow in complete peace of mind with quality equipment.
