Chamonix-Le Tour is a great place to visit for a friendly holiday in a beautiful village with a stunning ski area.

The ski area

Le Tour is a hamlet that's part of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc resort. It is one of the entrances to the Balme ski area, which links it to the Vallorcine resort. With its highest point at an altitude of 2186 metres, it offers an exceptional view of the entire valley. Often hilly and crossing through forests, the 25 kilometres of trails are perfect for both newbie and expert skiers. In addition to its 19 runs, the Balme area is also ideal for off-piste skiing of all levels. Le Tour offers access to the Vormaine, a beginner's ski area with three lifts, ideal for children or those who want to start slowly.

Beyond the Balme area, which is at the foot of Le Tour, Chamonix has access to 125 kilometres of trails on other slopes, including the Grands Montets and Brevent/Flegere areas.
Chamonix Le Tour offers many other winter sports activities, including a snow park, dog sledging, ice skating, and over 40 kilometres of cross-country ski trails. Mountaineering is also a very important sport in Chamonix. Discovery workshops are available so you can learn the discipline safely.
More than 17 kilometres of hiking trails link Chamonix to Les Tiens. For those who want a thrill, paragliding is a good option, you can fly over the sea of ice or the Aiguille du Midi.

Après-ski

The picturesque village is located a little away from Chamonix. It has a timeless appearance with old stone houses, covered in heavy snow. Shuttles are available to reach the hamlet of Argentière and the heart of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The resort offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and discos. You'll even find La Folie Douce in Chamonix, taking up residence in the magnificent Hôtel Savoy, built at the beginning of the 20th century.
