The site enjoys magnificent views over the Haut-Jura regional park and enjoys generous amounts of snow. Holidaymakers appreciate the diversity of activities offered on site such as Nordic skiing, downhill skiing or snowshoeing: Mijoux col de la Faucille gives access to a number of winter sports. Situated in an ideal location for city dwellers from the surrounding large cities, this year the ski area will be open from December to April, depending on the snow conditions.

Ski area focus

An integral part of the Monts-Jura resort, the village of Mijoux col de la Faucille enjoys privileged access to 3 ski areas: Lélex-Crozet, Mijoux-la-Faucille and Menthières - all offering an exceptional panorama of the Haut-Jura regional nature park. In total, the fields have 60km of trails ranging in elevation from 900m to 1680m above sea level. In this vast space, 30 hectares of cultivated snow ensures optimum comfort for skiers. The Mijoux col de la Faucille ski field is ideal for taking your first steps in skiing. There are 17km of modest runs that make it easy to progress at your own speed in total safety. The 14 slopes are gentle and carefully maintained for maximum comfort. For the more experienced skiers, you'll have easy access to the powdery snow of the Lélex-Crozet ski area. Here, several varied pistes take advantage of almost the entire Jura mountain. Snowboarders and freeriders will also be able to perfect their technical moves or simply experience excellent sensations in this area. The Menthières ski area is renowned for its family spirit, gently sloping trails, tobogganing area and effortless climbs to the top. Monts-Jura also has 160km of runs between the valley of Valserine, the plateau of La Vattay and Menthières, where you can practice many snow activities at leisure.

Off-ski activities

Even if you are not passionate about skiing, Mijoux col de la Faucille offers plenty to do! Explore the Jura mountains on a dog sled, or take a self-paced snowshoe hike so you can move at your own pace and marvel at the magnificent snowy landscapes on one of the many marked trails. Or simply relax in a large center dedicated to wellbeing, located just a few steps away in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois.
