Upon arrival at the resort, visitors will discover a warm and family atmosphere in an authentic mountain setting. Wooden chalets with slate roofs, an abundance of snow and wood fires tell your senses you are in the mountains! Linked to Thuile, Italy, La Rosière enjoys the best of both cultures and a double gastronomy. Winter sports enthusiasts enjoy direct access to the San Bernado ski area as well as exceptional weather conditions. In La Rosière, the snow is generous and the sunshine ideal (the resort is facing due south).
Ski area focus
In addition to the stunning views of La Rosière, skiers can enjoy an extraordinary panorama of the San Bernado ski area (extending from 1850m to 2650m altitude). This vast ski area is a real playground in the middle of nature, shared between France and Italy. Descend the slopes crossing various landscapes, valleys and villages on one of the 77 trails spread over 160km of pure joy! The area is also home to 7 snowparks, a boardercross area with high turns, a starting table and slalom doors as well as a unique snowkite area in Savoie. Ski touring is also popular here with 3 permanent courses away from the main roads, while 6km of cross-country ski trails will delight lovers of Nordic skiing. The most experienced sports enthusiasts as well as beginners can ski happily and safely on the slopes of the San Bernado ski area.
In addition to its gastronomy and classic mountain architecture, La Rosière offers many other advantages. For example, thanks to its Famille Plus label, parents are sure to enjoy a peaceful vacation with plenty of free time - knowing their children are happy and safe enjoying one of the ski lessons or guided activities. The ice rink, bowling alley or cinema are also great ways to spend some quality family time après-ski. Take a walk on the Chemin de l'Italie, which connects Les Eucherts to the center of La Rosière, or take a snowshoe tour to sample some of the resort's magnificent views. If you're in search of more thrills, you can fly over the valley in a paraglider, go speedriding or try your hand at snowkiting. Check the board at the tourist office to see what else is on the agenda during your stay in the mountains.
