Megeve is iconic and the perfect place to spend a holiday with family and friends, enjoying a great ski area that is full of history and glamour.

Skiable area

Elegant, warm and interesting historically, Megève is one of those pioneering resorts that developed alpine skiing in France and launched a new way of life. The resort is certainly part of a well-established and rarely accurate cliché. Megève is a paradise for those who love to ski. With 445 kilometres of pistes, the resort offers access to the Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area, which opens up a huge range of possibilities. 34 black runs, 82 reds, 65 blues, and 38 greens amount to a total of 219 pistes, an admirable offering. The snow is very good and falls in abundance, especially as the slopes climb quite high with a peak of 2,350 metres.

Would you like to vary your activities a little? Megève offers a variety of exceptional leisure activities, including dog sledding, paragliding and curling (an extreme sport par excellence).

And the little ones are not left out with areas dedicated to learning to ski, courses and kids parks. And you can visit a reindeer farm, which will amaze the children. The Domain de Coulairon promises an unusual experience: an encounter with the reindeer and a visit to a Finnish Kota and a sheepfold.

For the record

Megève is steeped in history. Noémie de Rothschild set her sights on the resort in the early 1920s. She wanted to see the French resorts become as popular as the Swiss. Megève is developing rapidly and has multiplied its hotel capacity by five in ten years. The architect Henry Jacques Le Même was entrusted with the chalet construction, with the proviso that he respect the Savoyard heritage. This model of chalet was a real success, and several were built in the resort.
Walking around Megeve is still a fully-fledged activity in itself, as the buildings and small streets are beautiful and picturesque.

Après-ski

Once the slopes are closed, it's time to enjoy the other Megève, the après-ski. Spas and relaxation areas are available in the resort, giving you the opportunity to unwind and soothe away aches and pains. In addition, the resort offers a wide range of restaurants. Savoyard culinary specialities are a must: fondues, raclettes, tartiflettes, croziflettes, matefans and a whole host of cheese and charcuterie. Whether you feel like partying or just having a nightcap, there are lots of bars to choose from, each with a different atmosphere. For those who want to try their hand at poker or roulette, the Megève casino is a must. And finally, for the fittest, the nightclubs and other clubs will keep you dancing until the pistes open again.

Megève is a perfect cocktail and will make everyone happy. From those who want to spend their days skiing, pushing their boundaries, or just perfecting their skills, to those who prefer the après-ski. Every moment is special. Ideal for families or friends, Megève will leave a lasting impression on you, and the memory of your stay in the resort will be unforgettable. With GO Sport Montagne, spend the best holiday of your life, enjoying high-quality equipment and a unique and warm welcome.
