The incredibly modern ski field has a number of high quality installations and equipment. Residents of Samoëns can get to the ski area in just 8 minutes thanks to the Grand Massif Express cable car. Once there, you can enjoy 265km of gliding across 144 runs (60 green, 17 blue, 53 red and 14 black). During season, snow is abundant and of good quality. Beginner skiers appreciate the specialty areas for them, while more experienced skiers can discover black runs and extraordinary viewpoints at the top of the field. Many play areas are located on site to delight those looking for something new to try. A VideoZone is available to film exploits and help correct technique, and there is a speed tester and many other high tech pieces of equipment for the young and old alike. The resort alos offers easy access for people with disabilities: monitors and adapted equipment are on hand.
If you're not looking to ski at Samoëns, or want to add some extra activities to your itinerary, the resort has plenty to help you replenish your energy at the summits of the snow-capped mountains. You can see if you missed your calling as a musher and try dog sledding, or try paragliding or ice climbing. Advanced skiers can hit the speed riding trails for intense speeds down the mountain, and everyone can take a snowshoeing or snowmobile adventure into the wild.
