Ski resort Information

Les Rousses is a typical mountain village that has preserved its old world charm. Linked to 3 other resorts (Prémanon, Lamoura and Bois d'Amont), Les Rousses gives access to 5 high quality ski areas: Franco-Suisse, Tuffes, Serra, Noirmont, and Bellefontaine. The soft terrain specific to Jura is particularly appreciated by snowshoe enthusiasts. This year, Les Rousses ski area is open from December to April.

Ski area focus

Les Rousses ski area enjoys direct access to 55 Alpine trails (23 green, 12 blue, 16 red and 4 black), spread over 48km and ranging in altitude from 1120m to 1680m. 34 ski lifts ensure a return ski to the resort door is possible. From beginners and mid-level athletes to experienced skiers, everyone will find pistes here to suit their abilities. Wide, gently sloping ski fields are located at the bottom of the area, and there are 4 snowparks for the more daring freestylers among us. Downhill skiing enthusiasts will love practicing their technique on the red and black trails. The Nordic section of Les Rousses has a further 227 pistes (28 green, 85 blue, 102 red and 12 black), offering more than 220km of skiing fun in an extraordinary setting. And if you want more, don't forget there are 5 other ski areas close by!

Off-ski activities

Whether you decide to hit the slopes or not, Les Rousses promises a fun-filled holiday for all. A wide range of activities will help you escape and enjoy your holiday in the mountains without ever attaching a ski to your foot! Les Rousses resort is known for its excellent snowshoe hiking trails. There are 18km of groomed hiking trails (small fee required) or 50km of marked trails (free) as well as 10,000 hectares of untouched snow fields at your disposal. Feel the need for speed? Then why not try dog sledding or ski joëring? When it's time to relax and unwind, you can recover in one of the resort's wellness centers, or try a less strenuous activity. Before your departure, check the tourist office for a program of sporting and festive events throughout the season!
